IJO' design collections of fashion fittings and articles follow a new southern Italy artisan tradition reading. This is also the result of a deep research made by the author.
Annalisa Surace, architect and designer, reinvents a Mediterranean style through a cross exploration of handicraft, art and fashion. Materials, colours, texture are taken from contemporary taste with a clever mixture.
IJO' means "sun" in an old language deriving from the Greek one; then light, warmth, life are perceptions and feelings that come from those objects. Through a dialectic cooperation with craftmen, Annalisa takes out materials and yarns internal qualities creating a complete hand made product. She presents small collections and unique examples which stand out for details accuracy and high aestetic value.
